Ike in Ohio

Well I guess we didn't completely escape the hurricanes when we moved from Louisiana to Ohio. We got hit with some pretty nasty winds yesterday, we lost a tree in our yard, a bunch of shingles off the roof and some siding off the back of our house. We also lost power for about 13 hours, the kids thought it was fun using all our camping lanterns and flashlights. We thought we were good with our grill and camping stove but the winds were so strong that they wouldn't stay lit. We ended up driving about 30 minutes south of us to find a restaurant that didn't have a 2 hour wait to be seated and get your food.

We were totally unprepared for something like this and I'm glad we learned our lesson like this and not with a more serious situation.
